On August 11th, 2017 the Mayor of Seven Hills officially welcomed Rhythm & Grace Dance Studios to his fine city.

Located at 7647 Broadview Rd., Rhythm & Grace literally has a campus of 2 suites and 4 dance floors to serve all age groups and many forms of dance. The front-facing suite will offer ballroom, latin, salsa, social and competitive forms of Ballroom dance, offered by a top ballroom teacher and another of the finest salsa teachers in Ohio. Between the two gentlemen exist over 50 years of dance and teaching between them. From the rear-facing suite, another set of teachers whose experience and knowledge were another 50 years in the making, who will be offering development for children in the fields of jazz, tap, ballet, hip hop, acrobatics, lyrical, modern, and contemporary as well as combo classes and junior development classes like "Mommy & Me".

Rhythm & Grace can boast of having highly experienced and professional staff, who in many cases, have successfully owned and operated dance studios for many years. Immediately, one can see they are a "drama-free" and caring school oriented to the best interests and success of their students and clients.

Ballroom dance lessons, as well as the gamut of salsa, latin and other forms of partnership dance can be scheduled by calling (216) 524 7829, or simply emailing. Registration has begun for the Fall/Winter/Spring sessions for children and can be scheduled as above.

See you on the dance floor, and remember:

Everyone needs a little "Rhythm & Grace".

Well, what was originally planned as a September 1st opening for our Ballroom dance studio in Seven Hills (moving our Lakewood location over to Seven Hills), has turned out to be an August 10th move!!! So, why so fast?

Our lease in our Lakewood location is up at the end of October, 2017. Presently, we are paying rent at two locations, in Lakewood and in Seven Hills. Simply, it makes the most business sense to allow the landlord to allow his new tenants to take over the remainder of our lease and take off some financial burden from us as we move ahead full steam on our new location. Yes, it is a little fast (not as fast as they originally wanted, but we are not going to lose credibility with our clients on an overnight move (I would question it)) - but we are much happier to move in good weather and present a complete face at our Open House on the 11th of August, than partially if I had to leave some of the studio at Lakewood until the 1st of September.

That said, please wish us success and support and hope to see you at our Open House at 7647 Broadview Rd., Seven Hills, 44131!!

These last several months have been incredibly busy for us here at the studio. Here is an overview of what has happened since our last post...

1. We attended the new Dayton Gem City dance competition, in April. Held in an actual ballroom, our students did brilliantly as usual. Rhythm & Grace won Top Studio and Angel again took the Top Teacher award. Everyone had a great time and we got some new trophies to hang in the studio.

On July 1st, 2017, we purchased an established Jazz, Tap, and Ballet studio in Seven Hills, OH. In that decision, we also acquired larger and additional space at the Seven Hills studio to house our growing ballroom studio in Lakewood, Ohio.

Lakewood has been a nice place to start our "Rhythm & Grace" brand, however, it was impossible to grow our square footage in our present location and frankly, the building we were in, being over 100 years old, had a few issues that made it easier to move. Additionally, we had an established clientele prior to opening our Lakewood location some years ago, so they would be able to easily move to a more centralized location, which is what we decided Seven Hills was.

On September 1st, 2017, we will be closing our Lakewood location to move to the larger Seven Hills space. There we have over 3000 square feet of space split out over 4 dance floors. Two of those floors will be dedicated to ballroom, Latin, social and wedding dance lessons. The remaining two will continue as jazz, tap, ballet, etc. spaces. Basically, our studio has grown 200% with the new spaces.

My studio recently competed in the only 50+ ballroom dance competition in the US, in Columbus, Ohio - the Arnold Sports Festival 50+ Dancesport competition. I found the event to be quite welcoming, and enjoyable to participate in. It is not a particularly expensive event, but interestingly it was also not "over attended" as many ballroom dance competitions can be. The organizers, Terry Cavanaugh and Mike Lorz were great hosts. The judges were relatively local but highly competent and knowledgeable, and joys to get to know.
